The Role

Working in partnership with the Management team and business experts, our Strategy and New Markets division are responsible for formulating and communicating Shearwater’s strategic direction and new markets transition strategy.

Analysing our capabilities and technologies, the division identifies existing and new opportunities that supports entry and growth in new markets, such as CCUS, Offshore Wind and Marine Minerals. 

The position of Business Development Manager - New Markets is an exciting opportunity for an experienced industry professionato shape and design the strategy for Shearwater. 

As a newly created role, you will support our growth into new markets and alternative ways we can accelerate access to safe, affordable and responsibly sourced energy.

This position can be based in either Gatwick UK, Oslo or Bergen, Norway.

Duties and responsibilities 

  • Market research and identification of new business opportunities
  • Design business proposals based on the most recent market data
  • Strategy and business development planning in line with Shearwater’s growth plans
  • Building long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Market Analysis and reporting on market trends and forecast performance
  • Risk assessment of operational, environmental and regulatory factors etc. of entering a new market
  • Presentation of the market to data to key stakeholders
  • Negotiation and finalising business contracts and agreements
