Sand distribution in Melke Formation (Middle - Late Jurassic) along the Nordland Ridge and Halten Terrace.
Applied Petroleum Technology APT has carried out a study of the Spekk, Melke and partly Garn Formations to date sand bodies and map their regional extent along the Nordland Ridge. A series of re-interpretation has been done based on biostratigraphic data and wireline logs, including re-interpretation of Garn Formation and dating of "Intra Melke sands".
