Pacific Hunt Energy Prepares for a Drilling Campaign in Sagaing Region, Myanmar

29/08/2018

Pacific Hunt Energy has been awarded onshore Blocks PSC C-1 and PSC H in the country’s 2nd Onshore Bidding Round. Production Sharing Contracts with Myanma Oil and Gas Enterprise were signed in September 2014. The initial exploration program includes processing and interpreting data, various G&G studies, and the completion of seismic acquisition and drilling of wells.

Pacific Hunt Energy’s first drilling campaign on PSC C-1 is set to last from December 2018 until May 2019. The campaign consists of a total of three wells. The wells are drilled with the intent to confirm the presence and quantity of hydrocarbon reservoirs. The Company’s second drilling campaign is scheduled to begin at the end of 2019. Details of the latter campaign will be shared closer to the time.

In order to be compliant with local laws and regulations, and in order to fulfil the commitments of the EIA Procedure (2015), Pacific Hunt Energy has contracted an independent third-party consultant, ARTELIA, to perform an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) on PSC C-1. During the EIA process public consultations will be conducted in Sagaing Region and elsewhere in accordance with the EIA Procedure.
