Facilities at Wressle are being upgraded to increase productivity.
A two-stage gas utilisation scheme to replace diesel power is currently being progressed, which will allow the field to produce oil at unconstrained rates.
Phase one will focus on the use of the Ashover Grit for electricity generation and export, whilst phase two will focus on gas export from the Penistone Flags. Additionally, further drilling into the Penistone Flags interval is expected once consents have been received.
Europa, which holds a 30% WI in Wressle, and its partners Egdon Resources plc and Union Jack Oil plc anticipate that the first phase of infrastructure will be installed by year-end.
