Lifting Equipment Specialist Announces Key US Appointment

An Aberdeen-based intelligent lifting equipment specialist has underlined its commitment to international growth with a key US-based appointment.

Load Monitoring Systems (LMS) has announced the appointment of Wayne Lacey to the newly created role of Business Development Manager for The Americas, based in the Energy Corridor, Houston, Texas.

The move represents a significant advancement in the company’s foothold in the USA and Americas where established and prospective relationships are set to be ramped up.

Originally from Peterhead, Wayne’s Scottish roots and international experience in hands-on and senior supervisory and management roles will be crucial in helping LMS to fulfil its ambitious plans for this emerging market.  He will channel more than three decades of knowledge into increasing support to existing customers and securing new customers in target sectors including onshore and offshore oil and gas; renewables (wind and tidal), aquaculture, entertainment and subsea.   

Wayne’s appointment continues the significant growth drive for flourishing LMS who also recently completed the dual acquisition of AeroGo UK and Load Moving Systems Ltd, placing the business at the forefront of the UK’s air moving systems market. In recognition of the continued international focus LMS were selected as a finalist for the 2023 Northern Star Business Awards’ “Going Global” category and recently celebrated the official opening of the company’s 7,700 sq. ft headquarters on Aberdeen’s Claymore drive.
