Buru Energy today announced the appointment of Mr. Paul Bird as Chief Financial Officer, effective 10 October 2022.

Mr. Bird is a Chartered Accountant and Governance Professional with over 25 years’ experience, predominantly within the energy sector with ASX listed companies. Mr. Bird joins Buru from his most recent role as Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of ASX listed Metgasco Ltd.

Mr. Bird has strong track record of finance and business administration, financial control and reporting, corporate governance, debt and capital raising, treasury management, insurance and risk management, and tax planning. His experience in corporate acquisitions and divestments including business valuations and joint venture farm in/out transactions will add significant strength and diverse capability to Buru.

Mr. Bird has international and domestic experience working in Australia, US, Europe, and Southeast Asia.
