THREE60 ENERGY is looking for a Proposals Lead/Manager to join our team in Aberdeen.

The candidate will own the drafting, management, coordination and delivery of compelling, competitive and professional proposal and tender submissions for THREE60 ENERGY’s EPCC and Operations business lines.

Supporting and managing technical input to bids across the energy sector will be key, including but not limited to oil and gas, renewables, decarbonisation and nuclear scopes.

Job Purpose

Due to the continued growth and expansion of the THREE60 business across a variety of energy sectors, we are looking for a Proposals Lead / Manager. 

To own the drafting, management, coordination and delivery of compelling, competitive and professional proposal and tender submissions for the EPCC and Operations business lines.  Supporting and managing technical input to bids across the energy sector, including but not limited to Oil & Gas, Renewables, Decarbonisation and Nuclear scopes.  To enhance the existing processes and procedures related to bid management and to bring a focus on continual improvement to the delivery and standard of bids.  Improve and build on the bidding conversion rate through challenge and a relentless focus on production of professional winning submissions. 

Supervisory and Managerial Duties:

Management and delivery of proposals and tender activity in support of the growth of the group.  Duties will be focussed primarily on supporting the THREE60’s EPCC and Operations divisions across the UK and overseas. The scope will also include the support of the wider THREE60 group in the development of integrated multi-business line bidding opportunities both in the UK and overseas. Enhancement of the Proposals and Tendering function across the group may also form part of development opportunities

Main Duties:

  • Utilise and enhance the existing bid management processes and procedures
  • Manage, prepare and submit tenders and commercial proposals on behalf of the EPCC & Operations service lines utilising input and support from nominated technical and management personnel
  • As required support, the management and delivery of cross-business line integrated proposals
  • Work with the BDD and Technical Leads to identify and develop winning bid strategies and ensure these are incorporated into bids
  • Arrange and chair bid / no bid sessions and develop a relevant but simple criterion to apply against the scope
  • Host and drive kick-off meetings involving all relevant technical, commercial and management personnel
  • Where relevant adopt and manage bid management templates and trackers to ensure alignment and understanding of actions and progress
  • Provide regular feedback to the business on the progress of bid production and flag any and all high-risk items or issues
  • Liaise with Commercial and Project Controls departments to ensure all parties are aware of proposals in progress, issues, won and lost
  • Support the change control process where required
  • Focus on continual improvement of the bidding process and enhancing the professionalism of bidding and output at all times
  • Manage, collate and present relevant data regarding proposal-related statistics, including issued number, won/lost, value etc.
  • Liaison and communication with clients and internal departments and key personnel
  • Review, develop and manage corporate processes and procedures relevant to bidding
  • Support BDD with identification and development of standardised presentation and proposal/tender content and collateral
  • Support creation of presentation content and client-specific presentations
  • Manage the identification and creation of case studies for both EPCC & Operations
  • Manage the updating and management of industry supply chain databases 
  • Support the collation of market and competitor intelligence

Health and Safety Responsibilities:

  • Take into account all aspects of the “Health and Safety at Work etc. Act (1974)”;
  • Knowledge of, compliance with and promotion of office, site and contract/project health and safety guidelines and procedures;
  • Actively promote and comply with the THREE60 Energy Safety Processes and Procedures;
  • Ensure all personnel working under their direction are aware of the requirements placed upon them by “Health and Safety at Work etc. Act (1974)” and the THREE60 Safety Management System;
  • Actively promote and encourage all personnel to care for themselves and others at all times.
