Esgian strengthens Rig Analytics team

12/04/2022

Norway-based Esgian has recently expanded its Rig Analytics team with the addition of three new team members. Their new head of rigs research is Cinnamon Edralin, who brings over 16 years of experience covering the offshore rig market.

“It’s an exciting time to join Esgian, which launched in November 2020 following the merger of Bassoe Analytics and Greenpact Data,” noted Cinnamon. “Now more than ever, the industry needs a source of instant analytics and relevant insights to help navigate the changes of the energy transition. By offering commercial rig data alongside our rig emissions analytics, we’re helping to empower our subscribers.”

Also joining the team is senior rig analyst Sarah McLean, with over eight years of industry experience, and Soumya Mutsuddi, who adds a fresh perspective to rigs, as his background is in analyzing the offshore support vessel market.

Sarah commented, “I joined Esgian because of my increasing interest in finding sustainable ways of moving forward and wanting to be a useful part of the energy transition. It’s an exciting beginning in a fast-moving company that has a fresh and optimistic outlook for the future.”

Soumya added, “It is engrossing and challenging to work as an offshore rig market analyst, especially at a time when market activity is picking up pace. Also, I’m excited to be working with Esgian, a company focused not just on conventional market intelligence, but intelligence that supports sustainable actions.”

Rounding out the Esgian Rig Analytics team is Hans Jacob Bassoe, who has a background in ship brokering and serves as product manager for our Rig Values database. Regarding the team expansion, Hans Jacob said, “I am excited to be part of the Esgian Rig Analytics team in a time where we are expanding and constantly improving our market coverage. Cinnamon, Sarah, and Soumya bring onboard years of experience and expertise, and I look forward to collaborating with them.”

Cinnamon and Hans Jacob are based in the US, while Sarah and Soumya are based in the UK.

Esgian delivers analysis and insights within ocean industries with a focus on future emissions. Offerings include Greepact Rigs, Greenpact Ships, Rig Values, Rig Analytics, and Wind Analytics. Esgian has nearly 40 colleagues across Norway, the UK, and the US and continues to expand.
