A leading UK-based provider of Laboratory Reservoir Characterisation Analysis Services seeks a Head of Business Development. As an entrepreneurial, highly motivated individual, you will be given the scope and autonomy to develop new geographical regions, new services, new markets (e.g., geothermal, carbon capture etc.) and new product lines. Part of a worldwide services group, the Company has expanded rapidly over recent years and is now preparing for future growth as the markets pick-up. As recognised experts in full cycle Core and Drill-Cuttings Analysis and related data management services they undertake a range of analytical projects on behalf of their clients globally.

The main focus of this role is on the Oil and Gas sector. However, the Company recognises the opportunity for their laboratory analysis and auxiliary services across the fast growing geothermal and carbon capture and storage sectors. In recent months they have won business in these sectors and are tendering for additional projects.

Ideally, you will have a diverse technical and commercial background in the technical services sector for drilling/ exploration applications in Oil and Gas and must demonstrate understanding of both technical and commercial aspects of Services/ Products, Operations, Quality, and Business Development within the industry.

This is a key role and as such you will have the opportunity to influence the direction and growth of the Company’s services, products, markets and geographical remit.
