Eskil Jersing has joined Houston based Eburon Resources as Business Development Advisor.

Eskil has over 35 years of industry experience, during which he served in a variety of Senior Executive and C Suite roles at major oil companies and smaller independents. During his globe-spanning career he has gained experience in most of the world’s key petroleum basins, including the North Sea, the deepwater Gulf of Mexico, Brazil, Africa, the Middle East and SE Asia and was closely involved in the identification and discovery of multibillion barrel equivalents of hydrocarbons across these areas.

Eskil most recently served as the CEO of AIM listed Wentworth Resources, an E&P company with producing assets in East Africa. Prior to that he served as the CEO of AIM listed Sterling Energy, an experienced Africa focused E&P operator. In addition, he has worked senior roles as Head of New Ventures for Petrobras (POGBV), Exploration Director for Asia-Pacific at Apache and New Ventures Exploration Manager at Marathon. At Shell he held a number of Exploration led roles, including: Gulf of Mexico Strategy & Planning, Paleogene Exploration and Regional Team Manager, as well as Team Lead for Brazil. Prior to Shell he held a variety of Technical roles at Enterprise Oil, Sun International and Western Geophysical. He started his career as a field seismologist undertaking seismic acquisition onshore Papua New Guinea.
