TRACS International now offers E&P services in Mexico

26/02/2021

Mexico’s oil and gas regulator, Comisión Nacional de Hidrocarburos (CNH), has granted its approval for TRACS International to become a registered independent third-party Reserves Evaluator. The CNH requires that E&P operators submit independently evaluated Reserves figures on an annual basis for producing fields and those fields proposed for development. TRACS aims to not only provide its Reserves Evaluation services but also offers the full range of E&P consultancy support and training to the industry in Mexico. This support is underpinned by an experienced integrated Team of geoscientists, reservoir engineers, wells technology, facilities and commercial specialists.

Energy Reform in Mexico led to the country attracting a range of E&P investment from local startup companies to major international IOCs. In December 2014, the CNH conducted its first ‘open’ licencing round. Three full licensing rounds have now been completed including several PEMEX asset sales. Mexico’s oil and gas province includes deep and shallow water plays in the Gulf of Mexico and significant onshore plays, consisting of a diverse mix of conventional and unconventional assets at all stages of the development lifecycle.
